Celebrated 105th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China: Drawing on China’s Historical Experience and Wisdom to Advance China – Pakistan Mutually Beneficial Cooperation on 8th July 2026 at the Chinese Consulate, Karachi

It was a great honour for the Economic Diplomacy Forum (EDF) to jointly organize the 3rd High-Level Seminar on Wednesday 8th July 2026, in collaboration with the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Karachi on the theme:
“Celebrating the 105th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China: “Drawing on China’s Historical Experience and Wisdom to Advance China-Pakistan Mutually Win-Win Cooperation”*
The seminar brought together distinguished diplomats, policymakers, business leaders, academics, media representatives, and members of civil society to commemorate the 105th anniversary of the Communist Party of China and to reaffirm the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China.
The welcome speech was delivered by the Founder President of Economic Diplomacy Forum Dr. Muhammad Farooq Afzal.
We were privileged to welcome Mr. Feng Deheng, Acting Consul General of the People’s Republic of China, as the Keynote Speaker. We were also honoured by the inspiring video message from Professor Rong Ying, Chair Professor, Center for China and South Asia Studies, Sichuan University.

The seminar concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony marking the 105th anniversary of the Communist Party of China, presentation of appreciation shields to the distinguished speakers, and the presentation of a special book by President Xi Jinping from the Acting Consul General to the President of EDF as a symbol of friendship and cooperation.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Acting Consul General, all distinguished guests, members of the diplomatic corps, speakers, participants, media representatives, and the dedicated EDF team whose commitment made this seminar a resounding success.
Together, we remain committed to promoting economic diplomacy, strengthening Pakistan–China strategic cooperation, and creating meaningful platforms for dialogue, trade, investment, and people-to-people connectivity.
